The SPICE (Social cohesion, Participation, and Inclusion through Cultural Engagement) project is a research project funded by the EU Horizon 2020 Programme and coordinated by the University of Bologna. The project seeks to increase social cohesion and inclusion in cultural heritage through digitality and citizen curation.
The Design Museum and Aalto University are the Finnish participants in this European project with five countries involved. In addition to the Design Museum, four other museums take part: The Irish Museum of Modern Art IMMA (Dublin), Galleria d’Arte Moderna from Turin, Hecht Museum from Haifa and the National Museum of Natural Sciences from Madrid (Museo Nacional de Ciencias, MNCN Naturales).
The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (Grant Agreement N. 870811).
