In an Instagram live Andrea Trimarchi from Formafantasma will give an online Designer Talk about the work and themes of their new exhibition Cambio – on Finnish Forestry in the Design Museum Gallery.
Formafantasma, an Italian design studio, has decided to focus on Finnish forestry. The exhibition examines the interconnections of paper pulp industry, the management of forests and tree plantations, as well as design practice. The studio’s practice is research-based, investigating the ecological, historical, political, and social forces shaping the discipline of design today.
Formafantasma is an award-winning studio founded in 2009 by Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin. Formafantasma´s expertise ranges from research to consultancy, from products to spatial design.Alongside their independent design work, Formafantasma leads ´GEO-Design’, a two-year master’s course at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Their projects have also been presented, published, and acquired in the permanent collection of international museums such as New York´s Metropolitan Museum and MoMA as well as London´s Victoria and Albert Museum.
You can watch the live on Design Museum’s Instagram account in English.
