Design Evening

November’s Design Evening will be organized both online and on-site! During the evening we get to explore design from the perspective of travels. The best part is that you can also take part in your home couch. The programme of the evening consists of Design Talk plus guided tour to Travel as a Tool exhibition.

Guided tour to our main exhibition Travel as a Tool. The exhibition considers the significance of travel for the work of Nordic designers from the 1940s to the present day. Travelling has been a source of new ideas and inspiration for designers and architects. They have provided valuable contacts and created new opportunities, along with introducing designers to materials and manufacturing methods. Due to the current situation, travelling has come to an unexpected halt. This exhibition gives current affairs a point of reference in past decades – at a time before long-distance travel became an everyday matter.
