Entrance with a museum ticket
In 2019, Mouse and Duck wondered if it might be a fun idea to bike from Alaska to California. So they cycled from Alaska to California. The journey was exciting as they saw (1) bear, (2) deer, (3) coyote, (4) raccoon, and (5) whale. As well as (6) seal and (7) seagull. And a lot of mosquitoes, but itâs sad to talk about them, so we donât mention them.
Of all these findings and more, they reported home via 108 postcards. Now those 108 cards (plus a few more cards as a prologue and epilogue) are packed in a nice metal box with a letter and a map.
This excellent package will be published on May 24 from 5 pm to 8 pm in the Gallery of the Design Museum, where you can also admire other creations of the Mouse and Duck. As part of the event, the Design Museum will also feature paintings by contemporary artists showing what the journey of Mouse and Duck looked like to them. You can participate in the event with a museum ticket, no pre-registration.
Accessibility: Entrance for wheelchairs and prams from Ullanlinnankatu. The Design Museum has an accessible lift to all exhibition floors. The toilet is accessible on the K floor.
