Design Museum’s business network Design Club continues with the Design Club Online Talks series. This series of discussions will explore sustainability, social responsibility and Corporate Responsibility through the lens of Design and Design intensive companies.
The next Design Club Online Talk is with Leni Valsta, Vice President, Sustainability at Fiskars Group. In her talk “Accelerating sustainability at Fiskars Group” Valsta will tackle three key points on how to imagine, plan, commit to and execute a workable, profitable and comprehensive strategy of sustainability. We have also invited Jussi Impiö, Head of Sustainable Solutions, Aalto University to comment on the topic and discuss the themes.

Jussi Impiö leads sustainable development activities at Aalto University as Head of Sustainable Solutions. Impiö comes to Aalto University from the think tank Demos Helsinki where he was responsible for global corporate responsibility strategies, strategies for adaptation to climate change, innovations and sustainable development. He has previously led Nokia’s research activities in Africa, worked for the Red Cross, and founded and served as the CEO of Fuzu Oy. Sustainable development is a key guiding principle in Aalto University’s new strategy and one of the cross-cutting approaches that the university aims to integrate into all of its operations.
