Fantasy Design (2003-2006)

is a design education project involving five European countries, headed by Design Museum and featuring children as designers. The touring exhibition of the project presents the ideas of 65 schoolchildren and high school students of what design could be. Ampiainen

On 21 September 2005, Finnish schools will hold their first theme day on architecture and design. Upper-level comprehensive school students and high school students will invite design professionals to their schools to tell about their profession and to work with them. This theme event wishes to arouse interest in the designed environment, to offer schools contacts with local architects and designers and to increase knowledge about professional and vocational opportunities in the field. Related events will be held in connection with Helsinki Design Week. Ampiainen – Hornet is part of the official programme of Design Year 2005.
